How and when did you start in photography?
Since I was very young I loved taking photos, but I didn’t start studying photography until I was 21, and I’ve been working professionally since 2001.

Do you remember your first photograph?
At the age of 5. My sister received a Kodak Instamatic 110 for her communion, and I spent the entire meal taking photos.

And your most recent photograph?
A portrait of an actress.

How and when did your collaboration with Milk San Sebastián begin?
In 2013, through a makeup artist friend I had worked with in Barcelona (Malen Buesa).

Do you remember your first camera?
Nikon F90X.

What equipment and software do you currently use?
Hasselblad H1 and Phocus.

Is a photographer born or made?
A photographer is made through time and dedication, but I believe some people are born with a photographic eye that goes beyond technique.

What has been your greatest photographic challenge?
A portrait of my mother.

What has been your greatest success?
Turning something I’m passionate about into my profession.

Who or what would you like to photograph?
Daria Werbowy.

What type of photography is your favorite?
Fashion and portrait, but above all, photographing people.

Barcelona or Donostia? Which is more photogenic?
Barcelona and Donostia—each has its own charm. They are similar in some ways and very different in others. I’m quite torn between them.

Upcoming projects?
Redesigning my website, a portrait exhibition, a fashion film…

What do you like to express through your photos?
That intangible essence that comes from within each person.

What other hobbies do you have besides photography?
My other passion is flying—I’m a pilot, and all I think about is being up there among the clouds.

Your favorite haircut?
Very short on the sides with some length at the front (Landry style).

A tip for taking better photos.
Take them from within—not something you can always achieve on a job.

Are you an advocate of digital retouching?
Of course—it’s necessary, but without overdoing it.
